Bitbank to Start Handling SUI on the 14th | CoinDesk JAPAN
The cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank announced that it will start handling SUI as a new currency from August 14. It will support spot trading (exchange), sales, and lending services.
SUI is the native token of the layer 1 blockchain "Sui Network" developed by Mysten Labs, established by core developers of the stablecoin project "Diem" (formerly known as Facebook), which was promoted by Meta (dissolved in 2022). It can be used for staking to support network security, governance voting, and payment of transaction fees.
The service will be launched in stages, starting with the beginning of transactions in the 10 o'clock hour, followed by the acceptance of limit orders in the new listing mode from 12 o'clock, and from 14 o'clock, market orders and sales orders will be possible.
The "Lend and Grow Your Crypto Assets" service is also available, allowing for loans with an annual interest rate of up to 5% for one year. Furthermore, a limited-time campaign will be held from the start of handling until September 11, waiving the maker fee for SUI/JPY.
